Burning Up Flint:
Cyborg Seduction Bk.1
Mirasia Carver, better known as Mira, is on her way home from selling her products on
another planet.  All she does is shuttle between planets and back to Earth to restock.
She hasn't had time for a relationship with any man for a long time.   Well that is going to
change in a hurry as her ship is overtaken by space pirates, cyborgs who take what they
can and leave the occupants with only enough fuel to drift back to Earth.  They use the
parts from ships they raid to rebuild their world, named Garden.  However, things get a
bit strange when Flint, the captain of the pirate ship, finds Mira hiding.  He decides to
keep her for himself.  She is only property to a cyborg, but Mira sees something different
in Flint.

As they leave Mira 's ship behind Flint takes her to his cabin, and before she realizes
what's happening Flint has her stripped and he's entering her.  No preliminaries, yet he
seems to want to be gentle with her.  Cyborg's don't feel the emotions that humans do,
but for some reason Flint feels that he can make a 'family unit' with Mira, though he
doesn't tell her this.  On Garden Flint has his own human slave or property, but Mira can't
stand being thought of those terms.  She wants him to love her.  Flint refuses to let any
other cyborg near her, until she betrays him in an attempt to escape.  Mira's future
doesn't look bright and Flint has only so much time to teach her her place before they
reach Garden.  Mira can't belong to a man who won't share his heart, she knows he has
one and hears it beating when she sleeps on his chest, but Flint can only bend so far.

Burning Up Flint-Cyborg Seduction, Book 1 opens powerfully with the way Flint and
Mira meet.  It's like a pirate story, and who doesn't enjoy swashbuckling men, or in this
case tall, handsome cyborgs who look more human than machine.  There is an intensity
underlying every page of the book as you read of dominant cyborg men who take their
women and make them their own in every sense of the word.  It's a battle of wills
between Flint and Mira.

The tension in the story remains central as you read page by page the battle of wills.
This is sometimes a difficult read as Mira can never seem to make Flint understand
where she is coming from emotionally.  Though the sex ignites the pages, the way Flint
takes Mira to prove that she is his just made me clench my jaw as their struggles
continue almost to the very end.  It's a well thought out story and the characters come to
life easily as you read, but the tension maintained throughout just seems to dominate the
love story and kept me from truly enjoying this book.
