Cat’s Meow:
Predators Bk. 1
Dr Rebecca Southerby is usually the shy quiet type. She is certainly not the girl most likely to
have a one night stand. But there is something about this sexy stranger that Rebecca can’t
resist. Sneaking from his bed Rebecca is sure she’ll never see Micah again; certainly not at her
new job at a scientific research organization.
Micah has been through some changes since that night with Rebecca but even though he can
now shape shift into a lion he can’t get that magical night out of his mind. Imprisoned and
treated as a lab rat he has little hope of freedom. Until Rebecca sets her mind to setting him
free. With Micah’s lion desperate to claim it’s mate Micah only hopes he can hang on to his
control long enough to get free.
An Emotional roller-coaster that will leave you feeling wrung out Cat’s Meow will run the gamut
from laughter and sensuality to tears. Becca is incredibly strong and self sufficient. Practically
perfect it’s a good thing Becca has some self worth issues to make her likeable or you’d be
morally obligated to run her down with a tank.
Micah is all alpha male; strong, insanely protective and growly when mad or aroused. His
extreme adaptability and willingness to allow Becca a large amount of control are really what
make Cat’s Meow work. A red hot burning passion explodes whenever Micah and Becca are
in the same room even under negative circumstances. Put them in that room alone and watch
the sparks fly as the pair find many inventive ways of exploring their desires.
With a few minor typo’s that caused my mind to stumble I started to feel a sense of
disappointment with Cat’s Meow but the fabulous story carried the errors and left me wanting
more. A small but fascinating cast of secondary characters helped flesh out the storyline
further making it a compelling read. With at least two more victims of Project Predator known to
us I can’t wait to see what Ms. Austin comes up with next in the Predator series.
