The Cowboys and the English Teacher:
Hot Off the Ranch BK. 1
What does a woman do when two younger men decide to pursue her?  That is the dilemma for
Betsy Perkins.  She's taken a sabbatical to do charity work in a foreign country helping poor
children learn English.  She's quite shy and a bit older than most of the hands putting the
school building together but Wyler and Jack Farmer have come to notice this school marm, and
they've been trying to decide which of them should ask her out.  Perhaps both f them should
ask her out together, they are twins and will only accept a woman if she accepts the two of
them.

Jack and Wyler have found the perfect way to get to know Betsy.  The three of them have been
invited to a local party in Las Colinas del Mar.  Strange things begin to happen when a local
'boy' believed to be possessed sets a spell on Betsy.  She becomes sexually adventurous
toward the man nearest her, which happens to be Wyler.  Betsy ends up in Wylers arms at the
party, kissing him, rubbing up against him and trying everything she can to get into his pants.
When she comes out of the spells fog she's so embarrassed.  Of course the brothers are
fighting about who will be with her, eventually deciding that they must both take her.  She's a
beautiful, sexy woman and they want to show her their brand of love.  Betsy will have to learn to
leave her shyness behind and accept the love these two men offer her, if she can.

The Cowboys and the English Teacher, part of the Hot off the Ranch series, has quite a lot
to offer.  Wyler and Jack Farmer are strapping young men who know how to love a woman.  As I
began reading I could just imagine how this story would play out.  I was ready for some
determined and exciting loving from the two men with Betsy, but ended up feeling a little let
down.  The love scenes between Wyler, Jack and Betsy never really reached the level of
excitement and intensity I was expecting.  It always seemed like something was missing in each
love scene when the three came together.

The story has an interesting setting that's well presented, and I thought what a great way for
three lovers to find each other.  Jack and Wyler were each very attracted to Betsy in their own
way, but it's when they decide to share her that the story falls apart.  There just isn't the
intensity I expected to see between Jack, Wyler and Betsy.  Wyler is too quick and always takes
a backseat to Jack.

I had hoped the love scenes would improve and their bond strengthen as the story continued,
but the focus stays of the struggle to see if Betsy would be understanding and whether the boys
would fight to keep her.  Not quite what I expected, sorry to say.  Hopefully future books in the
Hot off the Ranch series will increase the intensity to their love scenes.
