As the Princess of the Silverhaven Bright Elves Emilia ra Elawyn is destined to be the
ruler, however her stone of power hasn’t awakened leaving her flawed in the eyes of her
people. Finding out her step mother is planning to have her given as consort to
whichever of the barbarian horde will volunteer to have her is enough to drive Emilia to
tears. Emilia comes up with a daring plan to destroy her reputation and make herself
unclean to the racist barbarians. Giving herself to RorekNorthmark the Shadow Elf
ambassador and his guard should do it if only she can convince him.
Rorek is surprised to find himself attracted to the Bright Court princess but getting
caught up in politics is not the best way to serve his King. Hearing her story however
touches his jaded heart and Rorek allows her into his bed for one night only. When a
touch designed to bring pleasure causes excruciating pain Rorek begins to believe that
there is a deeper game being played and that the princess is merely a pawn. Will
Rorek and Emilia be able to bring the secrets to light or will the instigator of this plot
discover them in time to silence them forever!
Set amongst the grand imagery of an Elvin court Flawed’s combination of magic and
mystery will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Emilie is a strong
woman living with what is essentially a disability in a world where perfection is valued
above all else yet she faces it with grace and dignity. Rorek is a hot beta male with an
incredible mental connection with Jo’el his body guard, between the pair they’ll have you
melting into a puddle of goo. With all the ends tied and the story taking place in a very
self enclosed environment there is no hints about future visits to the Elvin courts however
with such a well crafted world I look forward to future books by Ember no matter the
setting.
