Jimmy:
Red, Hot & Blue Series Bk. 3
For six months the only thing that kept Special Task Force Zeta operative Jimmy
Gordon alive was the image of Amelia ‘Lia’ Monroe-Carrington while he was being
torched at the hands of Kosovo terrorists. The night prior to his Kosovo undercover Op
he and Lia shared an unforgettable one-night stand. Even now while in the final stages
of recovery from his horrific ordeal, Jimmy still couldn’t get Lia off his mind. But how
could he approach her with hopes of renewing the passionate night they had shared
when he knew his job wasn’t exactly conducive to long-term relationships.
As the governor’s daughter, Amelia ‘Lia’ Monroe-Carrington had always done the
proper thing when it came to her father’s political career. So why did she spend an
astonishing, passionate night with a banquet waiter, none the less. To make matters
worse the next day he disappeared without a trace. Now, almost a year later special
circumstances had brought Jimmy back into Lia’s life. Will things pick up where they left
off or will Lia continue to uphold her good daughter image?
Every since Jimmy had been mentioned in the first book and made his appearance in
the second book, I had eagerly been waiting to read his featured story. I am glad to say
that author Cat Johnson did not disappoint. Jimmy had went through a very horrendous
experience that could have scarred him for life but with the love from a very strong-willed
woman and the everlasting support from his team members, he was able to overcome
his demons.
To the fans of Ms. Johnson’s Red, Hot & Blue series, I must warn you that Jimmy is
somewhat different than its two predecessors in the fact that there is little to no danger
element to the plot; nonetheless, it didn’t fall to the waist side in the romance
department. The passion showcased between Jimmy and Lia was sizzling hot and
highly intense from the moment they met. This is one story not to be missed and can be
read as a standalone novella. Enjoy!
