Kiss of Moonlight
Tamra McMillan is on the run. She's been raped and brutalized and she doesn't know
who's after her or why, she's just trying to keep one step ahead of them. In Tamra's
blood there's a tiny bit of magic that's passed down through the generations, though she
never expected that the magic was real. Her great great grandfather Johnson who is
said to have been a powerful magic person left a small section of land to the family, and
thats where Tamra is headed. The property borders Kyle Rossini's land.
Kyle comes from a long line of shapeshifter werewolves. He is known as the King's
Assassin, personally chosen by the Etruscan King as one of two assassins for his pack.
Lately he's been thinking of retiring. His daughter Cat has been staying with him, and in
her werewolf form she's discovered Tamra. Tamra takes Cat and Kyle into her
confidence and Kyle is stunned by what she has gone through. From the first time she
speaks she touches him in his wolf form and he is hooked on her. Kyle is convinced by
Cat to extend a hand in friendship and somehow he must show this beautiful, lonely
woman that she can rely on him to protect her, keep her safe and above all else to love
her for life. Kyle realizes he has just found his mate and no one and nothing is going to
stop him from keeping her safe and his.
Kiss of Moonlight is a very intricate tale of a woman fighting for her life and her sanity.
Pay close attention to all the details as the tale of intrigue winds around the love story
between Kyle and Tamra. Tamra is living a very dire life in constant fear while the love
between she and Kyle grows, but her magic helps to cement the love and desire they
have for each other. As Kyle begins to show Tamara who he is both as a man and a
wolf she learns more of who she is and what kind of connection she has to him. The
love and amazing sex that Kyle and Tamra share helps to heal her and gets very hot and
inventive as the story continues.
Stephanie Julian uses a lot of Etruscan words throughout the story, some of which you
kind of have to guess at even though there is a small glossary at the start. Having to
stop and lookup unfamiliar words interrupts the flow of the story. I was a little frustrated
with this, and I was left with the feeling that there should be more to this pack's story, if
not Kyle and Tamra's story. There's plenty of intrigue, plot and romance but it didn't feel
like the ending was really the end. I was left waiting for more to the story, like another
book perhaps.
