Lion Eyes
Someone or something was attacking women and the police had pegged one of Liddy
Freeman’s lions at the attacker. Liddy was in command of the Hanover Wild Animal
Sanctuary that housed eight harmless lions and she knew that none of her lions could
possibly be the assailant because they were kept under tight security. As a matter of
fact, Libby believed that the aggressor was a lion shapeshifter.
From the first moment he met her six months ago Kevin Montcalm had desired Liddy
Freeman. As the leader of the lion pride, Kevin never acted on his desire for fear that
Liddy would not understand the hidden beast within nor would she consider dating
outside of her race. Yet, that didn’t keep him from admiring her from afar and hoping
one day that she really could be his.
The violent attacks had turned into murder and Kevin was forced to reveal his true
nature because evidence pointed to him as the killer. Will Kevin be able to prove his
innocence and more importantly, will Liddy love the man as well as the lion?
Lion Eyes was a thrilling “Whodunit” type of tale that had me eagerly flipping the pages
to discover the true identity of the malice villain. Author Jodi Lynn Copeland did a
magnificent job of playing the guessing game until her mystifying revealing and let me
tell you it was a shocker!
Readers, I must warn you that Lion Eyes contained sexual play that was in both human
and animal forms so this definitely not for the faint of heart. But, if this is your type of
thing then you will positively want to get your hands on this read. From the start the
passion was lustfully intense between Liddy and Kevin and not once did it simmer
down. The couple’s love was a steamy, pleasing affair and I hated to see Lion Eyes
end. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Copeland comes up with next.
This book originally appeared in the Lions and Tigers and Bears anthology.
