Master's Runaway is short and fast paced. It took me by surprise because from the first
moment I was intrigued at the way Michael gets Kira's best friend to bring Kira back to him. It is
such a sneaky way of doing this which only made me more involved than when I started reading.
I knew this was a Master/Slave situation, but when Michael takes control I could really feel his
dominance come through each page. It was empowering to think that a man would go to such
lengths to get the woman he loved back and then to show her everything about himself, but also
that he really knew her down under the facade she shows to everyone. This book strips away
any pretenses a woman has and shows a woman what being loved by a true Master can
accomplish. After all, as you read this book, you will ask yourself does the Master have the
power or is the slave really the one to control the Master?
I couldn't get enough of Master's Runaway. Gail Starbright has really captured my
imagination with the way she shows such a dominant man can not only claim his slave, but love
her and be tender in the process. I am going to be looking for more of her books from now on.
If they are as hot as the love scenes in this book, you'll need to be by the air conditioner and
have a cold drink handy to quench at least one of your thirsts.
