with each carefully chosen word holding you ensnared until the very last page. Only in My
Dreams is a fantastic addition to the Halle Puma series bringing you right to Max and Emma’s
wedding with all your favorite couples in attendance. Add to that some highly entertaining
scenes where the ladies get to show up the men it’ll keep you smiling even while the relationship
between Gabe and Sarah has you reaching intense levels of frustration.
Sarah is pretty entertaining although at times I just wished she’d smack the living snot out of
Gabe. A lot of the upset and confusion could have been fixed if Gabe and Sarah would just
talk! Considering that Sarah doesn’t fall apart even though she believes her destined mate is
cheating I believe her emotional strength is well displayed. Her ability to rethink, adapt and
forgive show a remarkably together woman easy to admire and even easier to like.
Gabe is a typical male. Sure he can shape shift into a killer kitty but that doesn’t mean he isn’t
capable of trying to make decisions for his mate without consulting her and then screwing up
twenty more times before he manages to get anything sorted. While you’ll spend a large
portion of the story thinking ‘OMG I can’t believe he did that!’ and wanting to slap him upside the
head with a frozen fish you just can’t help but feel sorry for his klutzy man ways.
Whether they walk in dreams together or are burning up the sheets, car seats, restaurants heck
anywhere they run into each other Gabe and Sarah are creating a heat wave that will save you
on your heating bill for sure. The mild BDSM adds to the tension between the couple especially
when you add the fact that Sarah is stronger than Gabe and could quite easily have him
kneeling at her feet rather than the other way around.
While its possible to read Only in My Dreams as a standalone why on earth would you want to
miss out on the rest of this fantastic series! With no outstanding long term story arcs I can only
hope that Ms. Bell wont be finished with the Halle Puma series for a long time to come. There is
hope; a Halle spin off is in the works I know I’ll be looking for eagerly even if we’ll be hunting
bear instead of kitties in the first book of the Halle Shifters series Bear Necessities.
