Like her protagonist, Elise Richards, Samantha Rhodes
has also studied Spanish. She received a B.A. in Spanish
from SUNY Buffalo. She also lived many years in
Berkeley, California, in an apartment with an uncanny
resemblance to her heroine's.
She had a lot of fun making up the story of Passion's
