Second Moon
Samantha is from a long line of witchy women if you believe in that stuff; with a second moon
shining on Halloween night and a guy who looks like an axe murderer hot on her heels Sam
wishes it were true.  Pulling into the first place she sees with signs of life Sam is glad to discover
one of the local deputies is present to save her.  One look at Duke and suddenly Sam is a
believer, because what she feels really is magic.

Duke is ready to die, having lost his mate and not wanting the slow withering death he knows
awaits him he has decided to take matters into his own hands; and then Sam walks through the
door.  Sams arrival changes everything and suddenly Duke has a second chance.  Sam isn’t a
werewolf however and Duke is suddenly scared that the woman he wants to give his life to might
not be able to find it in her heart to accept him.

Full of desperation and passion
Second Moon is a heart rending read from the very first
page.  Sam is an outwardly strong woman but having been recently betrayed her emotionally
fragile state making you want to protect her.  Duke is an emotional wreak his soul injured by the
loss of his mate; until he sees Sam, his immediate and joyous reaction is heart warming and will
endear this wounded wolf to the most jaded reader.  The passion between Sam and Duke is
incendiary, an unmovable, irrefutable force that will not be denied.
Second Moon is a fantastic
story full of vibrant characters and emotional satisfaction.  I enjoyed it greatly and look forward
to reading more of Ms. Lorenz’s books in the future.
