Six Feet Under
With a career as a Private Investigator Charlene Madison is often placed in dangerous
situations.  Though one situation she never expected to find herself in was waking up in a raw
pine coffin buried six feet under like she is now.  How will Gloria, her roommate, and her
brothers Blake and James find out what happened to her if she cannot escape before she
dies?  And just where is the annoying PI's her brothers have had following her? Or better yet,
where in the hell is a hero when you need one?

Devlin Leduc is a vampire in search of his life mate, the one woman in the entire world that can
stop him becoming the evil vampire of legend. Together with his brothers Damien and Lucius
they fight the growing evil inside them and hold each other in check until they are able to locate
the women that fate has marked for them. Finally one night Devlin catches a scent on the wind
that he has been waiting for, a scent that will forever change him, the scent of his life mate. Yet
finding her buried alive, terrified and in pain Devlin finds he must also fight his bestial urge to
claim her immediately or take the chance of losing her forever. Will Charlene be able to find the
strength to live in Devlin’s  world anchoring Devlin and his brothers until Damien and Lucius too
find the soul mates that fate has marked for them?

I was quickly drawn into
Six Feet Under by the heart pounding terror I felt when Charlene
found herself buried alive; though familiar vampire lore quickly helped comfort me and further
drew me into Ms. McKade's web.  Watching Charlene learn to overcome her fear of being
buried alive and to trust in Devlin; while Devlin learned to accept Charlene's need to be her own
woman and to compromise with her, not dictate to her, was emotionally satisfying. The mental
ménage between Charlene, Devlin, Damien and Lucius was hot, humorous and spicy as
Charlene was in public at the time. I absolutely loved Six Feet Under and hope Ms. McKade
writes a sequel to round out Damien's story and to find Lucian a mate.
