Tiger Eye
Veterinarian Grant Hayden was hording a secret – his ability to shape shift into a tiger.
A horrific childhood tiger attack force the village medicine man to perform an
amalgamation ritual or Grant would have died. But the ritual came with a price –
whenever Grant became too emotional he would transform into a white tiger. In order to
protect his secret Grant refused to get close to anyone other than his parents. That was
until he met Zinsa Senghor.
The civil war fighting forced Dr. Zinsa Senghor to temporarily move her patients to Dr.
Grant Hayden’s vet clinic. Zinsa was instantly attracted to Grant and she sensed that he
also felt the strong attraction; but, something was holding him back. Nevertheless, Zinsa
wasn’t about to let that little detail deter her from staking her claim on Grant because
she knew without a doubt that he was her lifelong companion. Now, all she had to do
was to convince Grant of that fact.
Tiger Eye proved to be a fascinating read. This is the first shapeshifter storyline that I
have came across where the shifter had little or no memory of what transpired when he
was in animal form. I found this fact to be unique and a change from the norm. Zinsa
was a strong-willed, independent woman who knew a good thing when she saw it and
wasn’t afraid to go after it. She shameless pursued Grant with all her womanly charms
and it proved to be a temptation that Grant, although a self proclaimed loner, found
extremely hard to resist. You can bet your bottom dollar that the chemistry showcased
between the couple was explosive. From the countless naughty, lustful sexual foreplay
to the dangerous element that surrounded the daily life, I found Tiger Eye to be a
wonderfully written shapeshifter novel.
Note: Tiger Eye originally appeared in Lions and Tigers and Bears anthology.
