The Vampire and the Virgin:
Love at Stake Bk. 8
Olivia Sotiris is gifted; a family legacy that makes her a human lie detector able to
sense the emotions of those around her. Olivia is also being stalked; her fear haunts
her until her only choice is to go to the only safe place in the world. The small Greek
island that her grandmother calls home, but she can’t stop wishing her grandmother
would stop trying to set her up with every eligible bachelor on the island. That is until she
spots a sexy redhead jogging along the beach late at night with a body set to make all
her dreams come true. When Robby seems to return her feelings it all seems too good
to be true.
After being tortured for two nights Robby is in no condition to seek the vengeance he
longs for. Even a vampire body takes time to heal wounds this serious; not to mention
the mental wounds. That doesn’t mean that Robby is going to seek out a shrink no
matter how hard his friends and family try to push one on him though. He shouldn’t be
shocked to find a Goddess on a Greek island; falling hard and fast for a mortal was
never part of Robbys’ plans. Love at first sight might not be enough when Olivias’
distant terror turns into a very real malcontent threat. With such a rude introduction to his
world will Robby ever be able to convince Olivia to walk by his side?
If you love a book that’ll grab hold of your emotions and drag them all over the place The
Vampire and the Virgin is the book for you. You’ll laugh and cry as you follow the
extreme emotional rollercoaster alongside Robby and Olivia on their journey to love.
From the highs of new love to the lows of degradation and humiliation you'll find a box of
tissues a must while reading The Vampire and the Virgin.
Olivia is an exceptional woman whose lifetime of gifts have left her highly dependent on
them to judge people. Watching as she has to learn to trust her other senses in order to
get to know Robby and the struggle she has to trust what those senses tell her gives the
feeling of someone suddenly blinded. Her sixth sense is simply that much a part of her.
Robby is a sexy Scotsman who, hurrah, has learnt from the mistakes of his friends and
colleagues. Course that doesn’t stop them sticking their respective noses into his
attempts at romance and bungling things for him; add that to the fact that Robbie
manages to make a few unique errors of his own add to a comedy of errors surrounding
some truly terrifying and heart breaking moments. The inner torment Robbie feels
affects his actions thought until you can literally see the difference Olivia makes to his
mental health.
The sensuality that sparks instantly between Robby and Olivia the second their eyes
meet is not snuffed no matter what goes on around them. It survives fear and mistrust
not to mention one highly nosey grandmother! When they come together it is not just
sex, you can feel the love in every touch even before the couple are aware of it
themselves.
With visits to some of my favorite couples of the Love at Stake series and further
progression of the current Casimir story arc The Vampire and the Virgin is sure to
keep you up well into the night. With all the half vampire kids being born and highly
entertaining were kitties next on the menu I’ll be eagerly awaiting the next book in this
entrancing series Eat, Prey, Love in fall 2010 and the chance to fall in love with yet
another of Ms. Sparks remarkable heroes.
