Elizabeth Winters is one of the women who met in a group of women at the Romantica
Convention and is now part of the Cougar Challenge. It seems that the challenge has
worked well for two of her friends, and now it's her turn. Elizabeth is an OR nurse and
with all that she's experienced she should be able to deal with this. But she's been
badly burned by a cheating ex, and it's left her confidence so low she can barely stand
the idea of meeting a younger man, let alone having sex with him.
Kevin Springer is an engineer by trade, but on the weekends he plays in a band at a
bar. This particular weekend he discovers a beautiful older woman who excites him
beyond belief. All it took was one daring kiss as he tried to avoid another woman. Now
he wants to take up the challenge of seducing Elizabeth, having no holds barred sex
with her, and maybe even beginning a relationship. Kevin is more than happy to be with
Elizabeth and can't wait to find out what they will be like together in bed and out.
I've found each book in the Cougar Challenge series to be exciting, like sexual
dynamite for each couple. Winter's Thaw is also an exciting story in which the
Challenge helps Elizabeth gain some much needed confidence in the dating arena,
although she only has to step out with Kevin and he steals her heart both emotionally
and sexually. I have to say I found my libido kicking into over drive with the way that
Kevin is so intrigued with Elizabeth. He's a charming, sincere and true man who shows
her how desirable she is to him and that age is of no consequence in their relationship.
I found the way Kevin helps Elizabeth get past her hangups endearing. He shows her
that real love is about more than just the great, sexually charged orgasms that they
share. Elizabeth's character is a little awkward, which seems quite natural. Kevin is the
dream man any woman would want, especially an older woman. I fell a little in love with
Kevin and his endearing ways of coaxing Elizabeth to give sex, love and their
relationship a chance.
You won't be disappointed with Winter's Thaw, and you'll especially enjoy the Cougar
Challenge series. So far each one has delivered an exciting and fascinating read of
younger, eager men and the older women who come to know the love. I can't wait to
read the next in the series. The three books I've read so far in this series are going to
be on my favorite book shelf and if they keep going as well as this, the rest of the stories
in the series will join them as well. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
